The hot topic for this week in the building industry is the HomeBuilder Program released today by the Australian Government. We've had quite a few emails and phone calls in the office surrounding this, so we thought what topic to kickstart our new weekly blogs then this one. We have gathered a few key features together for you and the relevant links. 1- "HomeBuilder provides eligible owner-occupiers (including first home buyers) with a grant of $25,000 to build a new home or substantially renovate an existing home." 2- Building Contract must be signed between 4 June 2020 and 31 December 2020. Construction to begin within three months of the Contract date. 3- "Build a new home as a principal place of residence, where the property value does not exceed $750,000; or " 4- "substantially renovate your existing home as a principal place of residence, where the renovation contract is between $150,000 and $750,000, and where the value of your existing property does not exceed $1.5 million" As always, the team are always more than happy to meet with you or discuss over the phone your building requirements.
